Cialis 5Mg Tablets (20mg) – ZVA/ED

Overview of Cialis (Tadalafil)

Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction or impotence in men. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to achieve or maintain a hard erect penis suitable for sexual activity.

Mechanism of Action

Cialis works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for the breakdown of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. The body’s sensitivity to nitric oxide is therefore impaired, resulting in an increased level of cGMP in the blood vessels.

Precautions

Do not take Cialis if you are allergic to Cialis or any of the ingredients listed at the end of the Cialis leaflet. See also How to take Cialis.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in Cialis is tadalafil.

Side Effects

Like all medicines, Cialis can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common side effects include:

  • Headache
  • Flushing
  • Stuffy nose
  • Indigestion
  • Back pain
  • Muscle ache

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further concerns or questions about Cialis.

The risks of taking Cialis with certain medications, especially nitrates, are unknown, but the risk may be increased by using other ED treatments, particularly nitrates.

Sexual activity can cause a severe drop in blood pressure and potentially lead to heart problems, stroke, or vision loss. This risk may be increased by using other medicines with tadalafil.

Cialis should not be used if you have a history of heart problems, stroke, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, stomach problems, bleeding problems, or had a stroke in the last 6 months.

Strokes (Aortic Anterior Whois Activity).

Background

Cialis (Tadalafil) may cause sudden vision loss or a sudden vision loss or a prolonged erection (priapism). If this occurs, seek immediate medical attention. Most men with severe vision loss or prolonged erection (priapism) have no alternative treatment. However, you may be advised to seek emergency medical treatment if this occurs.

There is a rare theoretical risk of stroke in Cialis (Tadalafil). This risk may be increased by using other treatments, particularly nitrates. The risk of this is not known.

Some men taking tadalafil have a reduced sex drive or have problems with sexual performance, whereas men taking nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) or those taking alpha-blockers should avoid Cialis (Tadalafil).

How to use Cialis (Tadalafil)?

The recommended dose of Cialis (Tadalafil) is one 20 mg tablet taken 30-60 minutes before sexual activity. It should be taken with a full glass of water. Do not take Cialis more than once per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
